CANDIDATE STATEMENT
Re-Elect Deborah Sims for Cook County Commissioner of the 5th District,
Building a Stronger Community for All of Us
Welcome & thank you for viewing my profile.
I was sworn into my office as Cook County Commissioner for the 5th District in December of 1994. Since this date, it has been a great privilege working with and serving the people of the Chicago South and South Suburban areas.
While in office, my accomplishments include bringing the Robbins and Ford Heights Clinics to our neighborhoods, securing millions in federal funding for local community organizations and working to reduce crime among our youth by creating Youth Crime Summits.
If re-elected, I will remain a strong advocate for the people of the 5th District and continue to work hard:
Promoting economic development and job creation.
Securing federal funding for our community.
Ensuring delivery of quality health care, and improving the Trauma Center in the South Suburbs.
