CANDIDATE STATEMENT
I am running for the future of Will County. I have spent the past 17 years working as a leader and consultant for corporations. My focus has been on creating innovative solutions to problems, increasing efficiency and driving productivity. I want to bring those skills to the Will County Board.
We must be a magnet for industry: developing jobs in new fields, alternative energy, and green manufacturing that can not be outsourced. Doing this will lower taxes, increase our property values and ensure a solid future for our children.
Maybe most importantly, I want to make the Will County Board accessible to the residents of Will County. The current Board has done a commendable job putting together a website, publishing papers and asking for feedback. But, people are busy. I want to bring the Board to them. By setting up town-hall meetings, webinars, conference calls, and going out to events, I will make sure that people in Will County have greater accessibility to the Board and know what is happening. I will also make sure they can tell me what they want. The Board works for the people of Will County and should be accountable to them.
